The Stroke Association of Qld  aims to support  individuals who have suffered a Stroke their carers and family. The Association is a central reference for information and assistance on Stroke recovery.

The Association was formed  in 1983 and since then has played a major role in the support of many Stroke survivors. It has also assisted in establishing some 32 Stroke Support Groups throughout Qld.

The Stroke Association provides support services involving:

• Telephone Peer Support Counseling  - 1300 753 787
• Stroke Information Kits
• A reference and co-ordination for Stroke Support Groups
• Seminars on Stroke and talks to community groups and professionals
• A library of books, DVD's and brochures
• Regular newsletter on Stroke issues to members.
• Referrals to other support services
